The St. Vincent de Paul Soup Kitchen, Portland, Maine, supports the community by providing a nutritious hot lunch Monday-Friday for homeless and economically disadvantaged Greater Portland residents.
We are a volunteer based 501(c)3 nonprofit providing support for the Portland, ME community since 1972. Governed by a local board of directors and staffed exclusively by more than 100 volunteers, we provide a hot lunch to approximately 140 guests daily, or 36,400 servings per year! We rely on food and monetary donations to ensure that we fulfill this need in our community.
Through the time, talent, and treasure of our volunteers and donors,
we fulfill our mission.
There is no paid staff, only compassionate humanitarians.
